Our team is back from Gamescom 2025, and what a week it was! Once again, Cologne became the beating heart of global gaming, bringing together hundreds of thousands of fans, developers, and publishers to celebrate the future of gaming. From massive AAA reveals to indie gems, the halls were alive with energy, creativity, and fun.
As Lily Smart from our Direct Sales team put it:
“In all its craziness this year Gamecom was a blast! It felt busier than ever. The team and I thought it was great to see so many faces we know among thousands of outstanding booths.”
This year’s edition was record-breaking: the organizers confirmed it as the biggest and most diverse Gamescom yet, with 357,000 visitors from 128 countries and a digital audience that doubled last year’s reach—a staggering 105% increase in online viewership.
We were lucky enough to be right in the middle of it all. Here’s our recap.

The show kicked off with Opening Night Live, where Geoff Keighley unveiled some of the most anticipated titles in the industry. You can catch up on opening night, but here are some titles that have us excited:
Hollow Knight: Silksong
One of the biggest moments of Opening Night Live came when Team Cherry finally gave fans what they’ve been waiting for: Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming September 4, 2025. Taking on the role of Hornet, players will explore an entirely new kingdom teeming with deadly foes, intricate secrets, and beautiful hand-drawn environments. Combat has been reimagined to be faster and more acrobatic, giving players more mobility and tactical options than ever before. For fans of the original Hollow Knight, this sequel promises to expand not just the lore, but the scope of exploration and challenge, cementing its place as one of the most anticipated indie titles of the decade.
