Challenge
In 2019, 46% of the US population and 41% of the European population used adblocking. These locations were responsible for the most valuable traffic on the site, so our team needed to find a way to recover some of this blocked ad inventory.

Approach
Snigel’s engineers developed an anti-adblock solution that allowed us to bypass the ad blockers used by a large portion of American and European visitors. This technology displays carefully chosen ads compliant with the Acceptable Ads standards to adblock users. These high-quality campaigns are personalized for adblock users in order to provide a better experience and additional revenue, without compromising on site speed.
Results
Snigel integrated adblock revenue recovery into our header bidding solution (AdEngine). This delivered an increase in revenue that didn’t compromise on user experience or site speed. As a result, the site was able to control its monetization and avoided implementing a paywall that would have led to negative feedback from users.
